From painting to architecture
Moriah's path began in art. As an active painter for more than a decade, she exhibited her work and studied art history, which gave her a sharp eye for proportion, composition and balance.
Over time she wanted to take that language off the canvas and into the spaces people live in. She studied architecture and interior design, and worked on large-scale projects.
She then opened an independent boutique studio, so every project gets a precise and personal process.
How she designs
- Precise planning before design. Every space starts with its structure, light and flow. The design is the conclusion, not the starting point.
- Calculated simplicity. Every element has to earn its place. Removing the excess is often the most important design move.
- Material, light and function together. Real materials and deliberate lighting, chosen to stay right for years rather than to follow a trend.
Japanese architecture influenced her most: the idea that every square metre carries meaning, and that empty space is part of the design.
